About Me

Describe Yourself:

I'm an Air Force wife, from Las Vegas. I am pregnant with my first child. I have a degree in Political Science, that I'm not using. I am not currently working, but I don't have any desire to be a stay at home mom once my baby is old enough for day care. Unitl then, I'll pass the time trying to be creative.

I am just getting into writing for the first time, outside of college. I'm looking primarily for feedback.

Interests

Favorite Music, Artists, Genres:

Indie Rock mostly, but I'm not picky. I love Bob Dylan and Modest Mouse.
Favorite Books, Writers, Genres:

I'm not usually big on fiction. I tend to stick to autobiographies. A few of my recent reads are Naked by David Sedaris, Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs and Look Me in the Eye by John Elder Robison. However, I have always had a week spot for anything Jane Austin.
Favorite Movies, Actors, Genres:

The best movies are always the ones that are only playing in one theatre in town and always have an audience of less than 10 people. I like to think I prefer movies that most people don't "get."
Favorite TV Shows, Actors:

I really enjoyed Six Feet Under on HBO, as well as Deadwood. I never got into the Sapranos or Sex and the City, though. I'm currently watching Weeds on Showtime, which is quite enjoyable. However, I really think we should give the writers anything they want so the end the strike. I am having The Office withdraws.
Interests and Activities:

I enjoy hiking and mountain biking when I'm not pregnant., Well, maybe writing... maybe.
